Job Role: Team Leader 

Hours:  37.5 Hours a week | 5 x 7.5 hour shifts 

Pay Rate:  £16.32 per hour | £31,831 per annum

Location:  St Joseph's Home, Blundell Avenue, Formby, L37 1PH

What We’re Looking For: 

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar care environment. 
  • A NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • An understanding of the needs of people with a learning disability and the person centred approach. 
  • The ability to manage, support, and motivate staff teams to ensure high standards of care and effective teamwork across all shifts
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Frances Taylor Foundation does not offer sponsorship or work visas. Proof of Right to Work will be required at the interview stage.

About the Role: 

As a Team Leader, you’ll join a committed team of Support Workers delivering high-quality care and support. This pivotal role involves:

  • Supporting the Service Manager in promoting the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of residents
  • Delivering person-centred care that maintains residents’ independence, dignity, and active involvement in daily life
  • Providing companionship and encouragement through meaningful engagement and positive interactions
  • Leading and supporting staff to deliver safe, high-quality care in line with organisational policies, safeguarding standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring the safety and protection of residents by recognising, reporting, and responding to safeguarding concerns in line with policy
  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service in the Service Manager’s absence, ensuring full compliance with Frances Taylor Foundation policies and procedures

About St. Josephs Care Home:

St. Joseph's Home specialises in supporting people with profound and multiple learning disabilities who have complex health care needs. Our facility features beautiful, secure grounds, and three sensory rooms with state-of-the-art multi-sensory equipment. Residents can personalise their bedrooms and enjoy a variety of activities, including social clubs, music therapy, a sensory garden, and reminiscence sessions. We also support community outings to Liverpool City Centre for concerts and the local village for shopping and dining with family and friends.
