What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring, patient, and compassionate approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage meaningfully with older people, including those living with dementia or serious illness.
  • Sensitivity to residents’ emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Willingness to work with residents who are bedbound or receiving palliative care.
  • Experience working with elderly individuals in a similar role is desirable.
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Frances Taylor Foundation does not offer sponsorship or work visas. Proof of Right to Work will be required at the interview stage.

About the Role:

Social & Emotional Support:

 Provide companionship through conversation, listening, and meaningful engagement, while respecting their privacy and preferences.

Palliative & End-of-Life Care:

Offer compassionate support to residents and their families, ensuring dignity, emotional sensitivity, and respect for individual beliefs, while working alongside care and nursing teams.

Communication & Teamwork:

Collaborate with staff to support residents’ well-being, share observations and build trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.

Record Keeping & Safeguarding:

Keep accurate records, follow safeguarding procedures, report concerns promptly, and uphold confidentiality and data protection standards.

About Maryville:

Maryville Care Home provides top-notch care to 39 residents in a picturesque setting located in the heart of Brentford, London. Their dedicated staff share a common commitment to caring for others and believe that by recognising the individuality of each resident, they can offer tailored support to enhance well-being and improve quality of life. Facilities and activities at Maryville are designed with the residents' choices and independence in mind, creating a welcoming environment where families can enjoy spending quality time with their loved ones. The beautifully landscaped garden offers a tranquil space for relaxation and socialisation, allowing residents to connect with nature or engage in community activities. The on-site chapel, complete with a resident chaplain, provides daily Mass and spiritual support to residents, catering to people of all faiths and beliefs. This inclusive approach ensures that every resident has the opportunity to nourish their spiritual needs, contributing to the warm and homely atmosphere at Maryville.
