Ready to lead, inspire and make your mark?

We’re looking for an energetic, forward thinking care leader with fresh ideas and a genuine passion for people. Someone who’s ready to challenge the status quo, build on what’s already working and take the service to the next level.

This is your opportunity to lead a 21 bed learning disability service, inspire a team and make a lasting difference to the lives of the people we support.

Importantly, this role carries Registered Manager responsibility with the CQC - you’ll need to be ready to take ownership of the service’s regulatory compliance and registration.

The role

As Service Manager, you’ll provide visible, hands on leadership across St Raphael’s, ensuring people receive high quality, person centred care that promotes choice, dignity, independence and positive outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and inspiring the management and care teams.
  • Championing person centred care and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safeguarding and CQC compliance.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, commissioners and external professionals.
  • Developing your team and creating a positive culture of learning and accountability.
  • Overseeing budgets, staffing and operational performance.
  • Driving the continued development, reputation and success of the service.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, positive and full of ideas - someone who doesn’t simply maintain the status quo, but asks: “How can we make this even better?”

You’ll ideally have:

  • Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent (candidates working towards this will be considered).
  • Around 5 years’ management experience in residential or community based care.
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care and regulatory standards.
  • Experience leading and developing care teams.
  • Experience with HR, budgets and operational management.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to take on CQC registration and associated responsibilities.

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager ready for your next step? We’re also happy to consider strong Deputies with the right leadership experience and potential.

Why St Raphael’s?

This is a role where you can be visible, involved and genuinely influential.

You’ll have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and energy to an established service, develop a committed team and make a lasting difference to the people who live at St Raphael’s.

Ready to make your mark?

If you’re an experienced care leader looking for an opportunity to lead with purpose, bring fresh ideas and make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you!
